Beverly Landis Buchanan

Mrs. Beverly Ann Landis Buchanan of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of Sylvia Martin Landis Kelly and the late William Floyd Landis, was born on August 20, 1949 in Green County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Tristar Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky having attained the age of 76 years, 10 months and 22 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Greensburg Global Methodist Church. Beverly was the receptionist for many years at the office of Dr. Robert Shuffett and was later employed by Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She enjoyed the time spent with the UMW ladies, gardening and cooking.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Buchanan, on March 2, 2007.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Sean Buchanan (Sarah) of Glasgow; her mother: Sylvia Kelly of Greensburg; two grandchildren: Asher Penick and Kennan Penick both of Greensburg; one sister and brother-in-law: Robin and Gordon Price of Summersville; a son-in-law: Troy Penick of Greensburg; plus a host of other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Miriah Dawn Penick, on January 18, 2025.

The funeral service for Mrs. Beverly Buchanan will be conducted at 2 PM, Central Time, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Coffey Cemetery. Rev. Dale Curry officiating.

Visitation is requested after 11 AM, Central Time, until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Sean Buchanan, Asher Penick, Kennan Penick, Thomas Price, Gordon Price and Eli Price

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to the Ronald McDonald House, which can be made at the funeral home.
