Mr. Charles Lewis "George" Robertson of Louisville, formerly of Russell Springs, the son of the late Lewis and Dorothy Richard Robertson, was born on January 14, 1945 in Russell County, Kentucky. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the Highlands Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville having attained the age of 81 years, eight months and 15 days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. George enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching UK basketball and the Cincinnati Reds.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 48 years, Mrs. Judy Penick Robertson, on December 26, 2021.
Survivors include six children and their spouses: Dale and Juanita Oeltjen, and Gwen and Rudy Orduno all of Louisville, Carol and Jerry Ray, and Laura and Todd Simpson all of Greensburg, and Rhonda and Pat Ennis, and David and Tabatha Robertson all of Edmonton; 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one sister: Lorene "Tootsie" Barnett of Russell Springs, plus a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Robertson was also preceded in death by one great-grandson: Jayden Andrew Judd; and three siblings: Phillip Robertson, Pearl Calhoun and Betty Ashbrook.
The funeral service for Charles Lewis "George" Robertson will be conducted at 12 Noon, Central Time, on Friday, October 2, 2026 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Grider Cemetery.
Visitation is requested after 9 AM, Central Time, on Friday until the time of the service.
Pallbearers: Todd Simpson, Jonathan Meadows, Jeremy Meadows, Hunter Robertson, Anthony Oeltjen and Rudy Orduno
Honorary Pallbearers: Cruze Orduno, Clayton Oeltjen and Nieces and Nephews
Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, which can be made at the funeral home.
