Mrs. Debbie Kay Bloyd Lane of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of Margie Parson Bloyd and the late Silas Bloyd, was born on August 5, 1955 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. She departed this life on Monday, December 29, 2025 at her home having attained the age of 70 years, four months and 24 days.
Debbie retired from Taylor Regional Hospital, where she dedicated many years of service. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers and took great pride in caring for her home and yard. Debbie dearly loved her dog, Ettie.
She was a faithful member of South Summersville Baptist Church, where she served as the church pianist and shared her love of music with the congregation.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Roger Lane, having united in marriage on September 6, 2025.
In addition to her husband, Roger Lane of Greensburg, other survivors include her mother: Margie Bloyd of Greensburg; a daughter and son-in-law: Amy and Daniel Clark of Greensburg; a son and daughter-in-law: Jonathon and Cassie Durrett of Greensburg; a step-daughter: Amber Nicole Lane (Tyler McDowell) of Greensburg; grandchildren: Dylan and Lesley Gentry, Katlin Gentry, Tianna McIntosh, Shelby and DJ Goodin, Caiden and Marissa Durrett, and Micah Patton; great-grandchildren: Lily Morgan, Laelah Morgan, Kenzley McIntosh, Kreed Artist and Oaklynn Durrett; two sisters: Beverly Bloyd Clark (Philip Cox), and Kathy Bloyd Curry all of Greensburg; plus a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Grace Marie Gentry, and one brother-in-law, Steve Curry.
Funeral services for Mrs. Debbie Bloyd Lane will be conducted at 11 AM, Central Time, on Friday, January 2, 2026 at the South Summersville Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating.
Visitation is requested on Thursday from 4 PM until 8 PM, Central Time, at South Summersville Baptist Church, and after 7 AM Friday until the time of the service at the church.
