Jack Gordon Simpson, Jr.

Staff Sergeant Jack Gordon Simpson, Jr. passed away after a short, unexpected but valiant battle with an unknown illness at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky on Friday, June 20, 2025 in the early hours of the morning.

Jack was born on January 3, 1953 to the late Jack and Marie Simpson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Jack joined the United States Military in the Army branch in 1970 and served in Military Intelligence until 1991, when he retired and began his second career as a “doorknob shaker,” as he would say (security officer).

Jack is predeceased by his parents Jack and Marie, his sisters Donna and Mary-Anne, and his first wife Deborah-Kay.

Left to honor his memory are his children John Robert, Christine (Lake), Melissa McLeod (Mickey), Eddie (Vallen), Tracey Bruce (Steve), and Jacky Holthof (Jamie). Also continuing his memory is his niece, Erin Al Zayadneh (Sohaib) and her son, Robert (RJ), and one sister, Mary-Anne Hackney

Left to continue Jack’s legacy are his grandchildren Liam, Gabrielle, Emily, Gavin, Kaylee, Kameron, Aiden, Kayden, Paige, Victoria, Annabelle and Caden and his daughter Christine’s children.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Clements and the staff at T.J. Samson, most especially Macy and Savannah. Your kindness and grace during that painful time will never be forgotten.

Graveside services with full military honors for Mr. Jack Gordon Simpson, Jr. will be conducted at 10 AM, Central Time, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221. 

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations towards final expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.
