James Howard Stanbery

Mr. James Howard Stanbery of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, son of the late James Henry and Irene Atwell Stanbery, was born on April 2, 1954 in Marion, Virginia. He departed this life on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at the Willow Valley Nursing Home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina having attained the age of 71 years, eight months and 15 days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Colette Peters Stanbery, having united in marriage on September 27, 2011.

Other survivors include one sister and brother-in-law: Pat and Marty Brammer of Greensburg; one brother and sister-in-law: Dwayne and Bonnie Stanbery of Greensburg; nieces and nephews: Dennis Hawthorne and family, Susan Gephard and family, and Tim Hawthorne and family; his first wife: Sandra Wills of Maryland; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. James Howard Stanbery will be conducted at 1 PM, Central Time, on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Green County, Kentucky.

Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM, Central Time, at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg.
