Joann Caldwell

Mrs. Joann Warren Caldwell of Columbia, Kentucky, daughter of the late Shelby and Gracie Perkins Warren, was born on October 29, 1938 in the Knifley community of Adair County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Friday, February 27, 2026 at her home having attained the age of 87 years, three months and 29 days.

Mrs. Caldwell was a woman of deep and abiding faith. She was of the Apostolic faith and a devoted member of Elkhorn Tabernacle, where she worshiped faithfully. Mrs. Caldwell dedicated many years of her professional life to Westlake Regional Hospital, where she served as the dietary supervisor until her retirement. An exceptional cook, MawMaw expressed her love most clearly through the meals she prepared. Her kitchen was a gathering place filled with warmth and laughter. She found her greatest happiness in spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, Mr. Charles Caldwell, on April 27, 1995, having united in marriage on November 23, 1956.

Survivors include five children: Sheila McClister, Delbert Caldwell (Dollie), Charles M. Caldwell and Patricia Caldwell all of Columbia and Roger Daryl Caldwell (Cindy) of Greensburg; eight grandchildren: Krishanna Jessie (Danny), Latonia Schneider (Johnny), Jessica Caldwell Stotts, Blake Caldwell, Elizabeth Hukari (Ian), Hannah Perkins and Seth Caldwell all of Columbia, Zachary Caldwell (Anna) of Bowling Green, and Brinleigh Gupton (Jack) of Greensburg; 13 great-grandchildren: Corey Caldwell, Makayla Bradshaw (Austin), Mariah Grant (Jon), Brylan White, Michael Jessie, Reagan Jessie, Paityn Stotts, Rylan Stotts, Alex Stotts, Aaro Hukari, Everest Caldwell, Tyler Atwood and Cheyenne Atwood; 8 great-great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Wayne and Tammy Warren of Campbellsville; plus a host of other relatives a friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Shannon Caldwell, and three sisters: Frances Blessitt, Barbara Barr and Sharon Pike.

SERVICES-

The funeral service for Mrs. Joann Caldwell will be conducted at 12 Noon, Central Time, on Monday, March 2, 2026 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Bro. Duane Wall and Linnie Jones officiating.

Visitation is requested on Sunday from 5 PM until 8PM, Central Time, and after 7 AM Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to Gideon Bibles or Elkhorn Tabernacle, which can be made at the funeral home.

Arrangements are in the care of her family at Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg.
