Richard Lawrence Marshall

Mr. Richard Lawrence Marshall of Columbia, Kentucky, son of the late Joseph and Laurene Thorstein Marshall, was born on December 22, 1946 in Grand Haven, Michigan. He departed this life on Monday, February 2, 2026 at the TJ Health Columbia having attained the age of 79 years, 11 months and 11 days.

He was a United States Army veteran, having served our Country honorably in the Vietnam War. 

Mr. Marshall was a truck driver, farmer and member of the DAV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. 

He was a loving husband to his wife, Mrs. Cindy Marshall of Columbia, who survives. Other survivors include seven step-children, several step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends. 

Richard was preceded in death by one step-son and one step-grandchild.

A private visitation and funeral service will be conducted at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with Bro. Kenny Craig officiating. Burial will follow on the Marshall Family Farm with full military honors. 

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to DAV, which can be made at the funeral home.
