Mrs. Susan Narissa Botts of Glasgow, Kentucky, daughter of the late Elmer Woodcock and Jeanette Meredith, was born on January 8, 1949 in Edmonson County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow having attained the age of 76 years and eleven days.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Botts was a retired Registered Nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Elzie Wayne Botts, having united in marriage on May 6, 1989.
Other survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jeffrey Harrison of Bowling Green and Jeremy and Christie Harrison of Glasgow; one daughter and son-in-law: Kimberly and Bryan Thompson of Brownsville; one step-daughter: Teresa and David Dennis of Fountain Run; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister: Sharon Fant of Scottsville; plus a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Woodcock.
Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Botts will be conducted at 1 P.M., Central Time, on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Monroe County. Bro. Jeremy England officiating.
Visitation is requested on Friday from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, at Summer Shade Missionary Baptist Church and after 8 A.M. Saturday until the time of the service at the church.
Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
