Frederick Carl Kuchenbecker

Mr. Frederick Carl “Fred” Kuchenbecker of Greensburg, Kentucky was born on April 25, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frederick and Bernice Moenck Kuchenbecker. He departed this life on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at his home having attained the age 79 years, eight months and 24 days.

Mr. Kuchenbecker served his country honorably in the United States Navy as a radar operator.

Fred and Judy purchased a house on the Bloyd Farm in the Mt. Lebanon Community of Green County in the mid 1980’s and turned this house into their vacation home. Upon their retirement in 2005, they moved and made Green County their permanent home. Together, they enjoyed retirement on their farm.

Survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy Bartizal Kuchenbecker, having united in marriage on October 26, 1983.

Other survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law: Julie and Zane Riggs of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Nora and Paul Ourada of Antioch, Illinois and Jan and Matthew Waters of Lindenhurst, Illinois;  two sons and daughters-in-law: Frank and Rebecca Fortino of Spring Grove, Illinois and Jim and Liz Pozniak of McHenry, Illinois; six grandchildren: Addison Riggs, Scarlet Riggs, Nathan Fortino, Raegan Fortino, Natalyn Ourada and Jon and Brittany Pozniak; two great-grandchildren: Joshua Pozniak and Lyanna Pozniak; one sister: Diane Steffen of Antioch, Illinois; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua.

In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.

The family has asked expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River, and those can be made at the funeral home.

Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg is in charge of the arrangements.
