J.W. Rattliff

Greensburg

Mr. J.W. Rattliff, Jr. of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late James William Rattliff, Sr. and Estel Marie Dobson Rattliff, was born on April 28, 1928 in Green County, Kentucky. He departed this life on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at his residence having attained the age of 94 years, 11 months and 21 days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Rattliff served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Rod Lowe Post 124 in Greensburg.

J.W. worked for numerous tobacco markets in several states as a logistical manager and controller. He, along with his brother Wesley, were the founding partners of Rattliff Motors in Campbellsville.

He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Joyce Cox Rattliff, having united in marriage on June 15, 1956.

Other survivors include two sons: John Reed Rattliff of Louisville and Jason cox Rattliff of Greensburg; one granddaughter: Crystal and Jacob Anderson of Bowling Green; a sister-in-law: Jewell Rattliff of Louisville; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by six siblings: Emmett Wesley Rattliff, Herman Willard Rattliff, Vernon Reed Rattliff, Doris Leslie Rodgers, Willya Marie Cox and Ronald Gene “Ronnie” Rattliff.

The funeral services for Mr. J.W. Rattliff will be conducted at 11 A.M., Central Time, Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery. Chaplain Valerie Goins officiating.

Visitation is requested on Friday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, and after 7 A.M. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to the Ebenezer Cemetery Fund and can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: William Lewis Rattliff, James Ralph Rattliff, Brian Rattliff, Matt Rattliff, Mark Rodgers, Randy Rodgers and Steve Cox

Honorary Pallbearers: Jacob Anderson, Luke Cox, John Lipps and Eddie Bloyd
