Mildred (Little) Perkins

Campbellsville

Mrs. Mildred Little Perkins, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Clifford and Lola Smith Little was born on March 3, 1935 in Taylor County, Kentucky and departed this life on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 86 years, one month and 17 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. She was a retired beautician and tax preparer. She was a member of the National Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Association and the Red Hatters.

She united in marriage to William E. “Pete” Perkins on January 13, 1973 who preceded her in death on February 9, 2018.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Gayle and Ricky Newton of Campbellsville; a son-in-law: Alex Boone of Lexington; a step-son and step-daughter in-law: Jim and Valerie Perkins of Greensburg; four grandchildren: Patrick and Stephanie Newton of Arkansas, Andrew Newton and Cassie Perkins of Louisville, Ali Boone and Catie Boone both of Lexington; one step-grandchild: Ed and Sarah Perkins; three sisters and a brother-in law: Wanda Merritt of Campbellsville, Audrey and Lawrence Gupton of Greensburg, and Linda Little of Washington; one brother and sister-in law: Earl and Dorothy Little of Campbellsville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by a daughter: Patricia Cash Boone; a brother: Harvey Little; and a brother-in-law: Bobby Merritt.

The funeral services for Mildred Little Perkins will be conducted 11:00 A.M., Eastern Time, Friday, April 23, 2021 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.  A walk-through visitation is requested from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Eastern Time, Thursday at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg and after 8 A.M. Friday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church until the time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Make Today Count Organization, which can be made at the funeral home.
